Explanatory notes
|
Due to the need for an fixed finish time, Events 31 and 32 will be run if time permits
ALL RESULTS WILL BE SEPARATED INTO THE FOLLOWING AGE GROUPS with medals awarded to
the top six finishers in both Novice and Squad in each age group (except 400m):- Age 8 and under Age 9 Age 10 Age 11 Age 12 Age 13&14 Age 15&16 Open (17 years & older)
Please note: There are only two age groups for 400 metres Freestyle :-

Novice |
This group comprises swimmers in the 8 and under age group and those that do not
swim within a Club squad training session (i.e. Sunday to Friday mornings, Wednesday
evenings 7- |

Skins |
In this event the swimmers compete in a repeating one length freestyle race with one swimmer being eliminated in each round until there’s one winner. Very exciting! |
Entries
Please submit your entries on a standard Phoenix Gala Entry form. Entry fees are £1.50 per event. This charge covers the cost of medals & trophies. Cheques payable to BPSC please.

Spectators
All are welcome. Bring along your family to watch the children swim and cheer them on!
The background
Every year we hold an internal club championships for members of Phoenix Swimming Club. These are held over two days and this year they will be on the successive evenings of Friday 9th July and Saturday 10th July.
Please note that there will be no lessons on the Friday evening. There are separate
awards made for squad and novice swimmers -
